This is how I remember Miss Gill looking back in the 1970's. She always looked classic. This was her cool reading room that was connected to our classroom.
Here we are in November 1974 on a field trip to Nellis Air Force Base. (I don't even think that you can do that anymore! :)
This is our 2nd grade program for the school. At George E. Harris, you really had to put on a production! Everything was top notch. You can't get more patriotic than The Statue of Liberty and Uncle Sam! I remember my mom and I going shopping for the perfect shade of seafoam green material so my mom could make my dress.
Last day of 2nd grade - June 4, 1975
I was so sad to have to move on and leave Miss Gill. I moved on, but her legacy of kindness, interest and caring stayed with me my whole life.
